This piece reveals the dark side of this type of love when you are seeking for the pleasures only. So it meant only the pleasure of a flesh. Countertenor sings the quotes from Marquis de Sade books (like »Les 120 journées de Sodome« & »Justine ou les Malheurs de la vertu«) and Jonathan Littell’s »Une vieille histoire« and makes full picture of somebody who are trying to explain his or her or even their deviation. I believe that men, women or anybody else could be as deviated as the »character« of this piece.
But this piece not only about intimate love itself. It could be connected with different types of abusive or unrequited love.
This piece is a huge metaphor as the literature of de Sade or Littell–this is not only erotic or even pornographic novels but the methaphor to a violent world that was built by strong but persist because of weak. And this conflict between them is endless.
