Ricardo Eizirik: MUTANTE
Work-In-Progress Showing
»Mutante« in Brazilian Portuguese refers to something or someone that undergoes change, transformation, or mutation. The term often conveys a sense of fluid identity, hybridity, and resistance to fixed forms—spaces and practices in constant transformation, open to new configurations.
MUTANTE is a project by Ricardo Eizirik in collaboration with Pony Says and a rotating constellation of guests. It is an ever evolving liminal work that constantly changes size and form. In this iteration at ECLAT 2026 it exists between concert praxis and club night, unfolding at Romy S Club in Stuttgart and integrating guests Tuce Alba (turkish Noise and Performance Artist based in Berlin) as well as local Stuttgart DJs, Flave (Peru, based in Stuttgart) and Almarcito (Franco-Colombian, based in Stuttgart) b2b (to be confirmed). The project brings together different musical practices and scenes, blurring distinctions between composed material, noise and club-oriented formats as well as different wahrnemugnsarten and audience constelations.
Each iteration is conceived as an immersive situation rather than a fixed program. Changing guest artists, and sensory elements shape events that prioritize experiential reception and collective presence. Through this shifting structure, MUTANTE explores how listening, performance, and community can be reconfigured when the boundaries between concert and club are deliberately left unstable.
