Portrait of Ricardo Eizirik
»Experimental for me is a little bit like butterflies in your belly, like I‘m taking a risk. I‘m putting myself into a situation where i have an idea that i want to pursue–but i don‘t know about my abilities to do so.«
(Ricardo Eizirik)
High culture meets trash, man meets machine, roughness meets precision—Ricardo Eizirik’s music opens up fascinating areas of tension.
The visual aspect plays just as important a role as the sound. Light compositions and the movements of the musicians are finely tuned to the sound events. This can be seen in the five audiovisual works recorded especially for the album by Ensemble Recherche, Trio Catch, and the Neue Vocalsolisten in the chamber music hall of Deutschlandfunk.
