Theo Ferreira Gomes alias DJ Theory

Theo Ferreira Gomes is a transdisciplinary researcher working between curating, community programming, and sound. His recent work spans areas such as financialization and alternative currencies, as well as the politics of silence and its resonances within contemporary power relations. His sonic research unfolds in relation to practices of DJing: collecting and sharing sounds, listening and attunement, and dialoguing with communities in movement.

Among others, he has performed at A.K.T; in Pforzheim (2025), Klangraum Festival 2025 in Stuttgart, Sonic Territories Festival in Vienna (2025), Künstlerhaus Stuttgart (2024), Moers Festival (2024), Lindenmuseum Stuttgart (2024), Serpent a Plumes in Paris (2024), Max Planck Institut for Behavioural Biology in Konstanz (2023), ifa Gallery Stuttgart (2023), and Salon des Amateur Düsseldorf (2023).

You can occasionally find Theo DJing at off-the-radar parties, informal post-finnissage gatherings, and off-center club locations. He is a member of the Pforzheim-based label LAFmusik and hosts the radio show NAM/Non-Aligned Music on Stuttgart’s Fullbeans Radio.
