Rainer Rubbert

Rainer Rubbert (*1957 in Erlangen) studied composition at the HdK Berlin with Witold Szalonek. He received numerous prizes and scholarships: among others Prix Marcel Josse, Cité des Arts Paris, Budapest Composition Prize, AdK Art Prize Music, Villa-Serpentara, Carl-von-Ossietzky Composition Prize, German Music Authors’ Prize. In 2008 he wrote the opera »Kleist« based on the libretto by Tanja Langer. He lives and works in Berlin.
