Ilya Viazov (* 1999 in Voronezh, Russia) is a composer, sound artist and recorder player. He began his professional musical training at the age of 16 as a bassoonist at the Voronezh Music Academy and then continued his studies at the Gnesin Family Music Academy in Moscow. He then attended the Moscow Conservatory and studied composition with Vladimir Tarnopolsky and Yuri Kasparov as well as electroacoustics with Nikolay Khrust and Alexey Nadzharov. Due to the measures taken by the Russian government and the war with Ukraine, he left his home country in October 2022. In October 2024, he continued his studies at the Lübeck University of Music as a Bachelor in Composition and Sound Art. He is currently studying with Nicola Leonard Hein and Milica Djordjević.
