Pop-up is a concert series organised by Pony Says, in which the Stuttgart-based trio presents short-form works and free improvisations alongside a rotating line-up of international guest artists from the improvisational and experimental music scene. The concerts usually take place in Stuttgart’s off-spaces and are announced at short notice. Previous guests have included Svetlana Maraš and Andrea Neumann.

Italian sound artist Mattia Parisse has been invited to perform at the ‘Sommer in Stuttgart’ concert. His artistic practice focuses on electroacoustic music, new forms of digital sound generation, and the design and construction of his own instruments. On this evening, these instruments will be juxtaposed with Pony Says’ »traditional« set-up–electric guitar, electronic drums and keyboards. The result is an open format blending improvisation, electronics and new music, in which anything can happen.
