Katsia Kaya began her ‘Song for You’ project in 2020, ‘when the world came to a standstill and the distances between people became both physical and political. I began recording songs on request–for those who stayed in Belarus, for those who had left, for those who didn’t know what to choose. … When I myself ended up in exile, this project became a way of maintaining a connection–not an archive, but a living thread between those who are on the move and those who are waiting.”
The concert, curated by Maria Kalesnikava, is taking place as part of solidARTy, an international platform for solidarity with artists affected by repression, exile and professional bans.
