In the depths of winter, all seems quiet in the Ukrainian forest… but listen carefully! The forest spirit Lisovyk lives in the crackling ground, the nymph Mavka lives in the tall trees, and the water spirit Vodianyk dances in the frozen streams.
Together with Malin and Marta, we go into the enchanted forest and celebrate Malanka, a wild winter festival with lots of music to wake up spring! With musical snippets by Salvatore Sciarrino, Carola Bauckholt, Marta Haladzhun, Iris ter Schiphorst, Clara Iannotta and many others, Malin and Marta bring the creatures of Ukrainian mythology to life.
