Future Forest 1

Meeting point and conclusion at Theaterhaus MDJ/P1
»Every habitat has its own acoustic signature, and a wealth of information about a habitat can be gleaned from analyzing the soundscapes. Changes in the context of species loss and climate change can also be detected acoustically.«
(Sandra Müller)
An introduction to eco-acoustic research and ecology-related sound art and composition–and a joint sound research in the Stuttgart city forest: with contact microphones on trees, with sensor microphones in the earth and in the foliage, with hydrophones for the sounds in watercourses and bodies of water. A workshop on eco-acoustic methods in climate and biodiversity science, on their artistic transformation and on the insights that can be gained from this aesthetic experience.
