On this evening, the SWR Experimentalstudio will transform the large Theaterhaus hall into two special sound spaces.

Biologist Sandra Müller speaks of the »acoustic composition of a landscape« when she explores the biodiversity of ecosystems through their soundscapes. Sound artist Kirsten Reese is also interested in what the forest means to us—as a place of projection and imagination. Using hydro, contact, and sensor microphones, the two researchers literally listened to the forest and its microorganisms—on tree trunks, in the earth, in watercourses. The artistic transformation can now be experienced in Future Forest.
