With binaural microphones, headphones, projections and shop window heads, the four percussionists create an irritating audiovisual space in their 40-minute sound performance. The dividing lines between intelligibility and diffusion, marking and masking are made tangible, exaggerated and shifted. In this way, sonic experience is reflected from different perspectives.

With this project, sh|ft investigates the psychoacoustic conditions to which the communication of socio-political content in experimental music practice is subject.
