An interview with Fabian Lang on outreach at Musik der Jahrhunderte

In an interview with the editorial team at Netzwerk Junge Ohren, Fabian Lang describes the outreach project ‘Spielräume’ by Musik der Jahrhunderte and explains what makes the promotion of new music so special.

Since October 2025, Musik der Jahrhunderte (MdJ) has been a member of the Netzwerk Junge Ohren. Fabian Lang, who has been responsible for audience development and outreach projects at MdJ since 2024, works with artists and communities within (urban) society to develop projects and formats for the »Spielräume« that facilitate encounters and exchange within the sphere of contemporary music.

The interview, in which Fabian Lang explains how and why he came to New Music after studying cultural and media education, and which projects he is currently overseeing at MdJ, is published on the Netzwerk Junge Ohren website.
